Trippy

This was initially a quick sketch I did for a potential client recently. They were looking for a cute mascot character for something and wanted it pokemon-esque.
I don't usually don't do samples for clients for free, that's what the online portfolios are for but sometimes I make an exception if it's something I haven't done before, so even if the commission doesn't work out I have a sample image I would not have ordinarily done if left to my own devices.
That's the case here, when I scribbled down the sketch and sent it off I got the reply telling me it was good but too complicated. To which I responded that since the person wasn't paying me and wasn't sure what they wanted this was just me doing my own thing to show what I could do and if I did work for them it would be done according to their specifications.
I never heard from them again, lol, I don't know if they expected me to change it or try again until they were satisfied for no money but either way I've got this cute....thing here and it was an interesting experiment.

I have a VERY specific idea of what to do for the colouring, that's why I needed my really thin lines for the inks.
